Governor Glenn Youngkin’s Spirit of Virginia PAC released a new video highlighting Secure Your Vote Virginia, Youngkin’s initiative to encourage Republicans to embrace early and absentee voting ahead of November’s General Assembly elections in Virginia.
“Republicans are united in competing for every vote, and playing by the rules to win these critical elections,” said Dave Rexrode, Chairman of the Spirit of Virginia PAC. “These elections are too important to sit on the sidelines when it comes to early and absentee voting – we need folks to get in the game and compete. Secure Your Vote Virginia builds on our successful model in 2021, when Governor Youngkin ran an aggressive campaign to turn out early and absentee voters. When Republicans vote, Republicans win, and together we can make Virginia the best place to live, work, and raise a family by bringing committed allies to the General Assembly who will advance Governor Youngkin’s commonsense agenda.”
The video, titled “Competing to Win Elections,” echoes what Youngkin said recently: “Everybody is aligned. Everybody, from top to bottom in our party about signing people up to vote early.”
That much is clear. Governor Youngkin recently penned an op-ed in USA Today stressing the importance of competing in early and absentee voting to ensure Republicans aren’t going into Election Day down thousands of votes. Republican leaders in Virginia, like Senators Mark Obenshain and Ryan McDougle, delivered the same message in a Washington Examiner op-ed.
The latest video includes clips from Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Lt. Governor Winsome Sears and Attorney General Jason Miyares all touting Secure Your Vote Virginia as key to winning this November.
